Definition of «unc tax»

A play on the 'fanum tax', this term refers to the social or physical 'cost' paid by older individuals (referred to as 'unc' for uncle) when trying to participate in youth culture. It can also describe the inevitable fatigue or lack of knowledge that comes with being the oldest person in a digital space. Often used by younger users to tease those who are over the age of 25 for being out of touch.
