Description

"Bot" is a gaming term for an artificial player or character controlled by the game rather than by a human. It is commonly used when discussing matchmaking, lobbies, and opponents whose behavior seems automated or predictable. The word is neutral when it simply identifies computer-controlled participants, but it can sound dismissive when players complain that a match lacks real people. In online game criticism, a lobby “filled with bots” implies that the player experience feels empty or artificially populated.

Example

— Why did you spend five minutes hiding behind that crate? — I was negotiating with a bot. — It was a traffic cone.

The tournament lobby was so deserted that the only bot had to queue against itself and still complained about the matchmaking.

I bought this game only to load into lobbies filled with bots. I did not buy this to queue into "Casual Matchmaking". Where is the option for regular matchmaking? You're ruining your game with the bots. Your server browser doesn't allow you to sort by category, and it doesn't show your ping to the server. Sorry, this wasn't what I paid for. Refunding.
